HONEY THE ABANDONED LAB X NEEDS A NEW HOME

Honey

PETS was alerted to a doggy who had passed out on someones lawn in Gordon’s Bay on Friday night. While Bafana Bafana were playing Mexico, we left to go and fetch her. We came across an extremely exhausted, very thin and beautiful female doggy that we called Honey. It was obvious at first sight that she had a very sore front leg and broken paw pads. She showed no aggression, and was so relived to have found “someone” to help her.

We took her home and made her a soft bed and a nice meal. Saturday morning it was off to the vet. The vet immediately noticed that she had NO toenails whatsoever, and that was because she had been running a very far way, hence her bleeding paw pads too. She was in a good condition, besides being thing and having gigantic ticks on her, she is also spayed and must have belonged to someone at some stage. The vet says he thinks she was dumped and tried to run after her “owners” trying to find her way “home”. This is by no means an uncommon occurrence, but none the less, makes it no more traumatising on the rescuer of the victim.

Honey is about 2 or 3 years old and has the softest eyes and coat and nature. She looks like she has black German Shepard x Labrador in her.   Please can someone help and give Honey a secure new home? Email anouxmassey@gmail.com for more info.

BULLET NEEDS MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Bullet

Bullet is a PETS rescue puppy from Maccassar. When he came into our care he was vomiting a lot and could not eat. His foster mom took him to the vet quite a few times before they found out what was wrong with him.
Bullet’s tummy is full of shrapnel!!!, meaning he was shot with a gun at some stage and the tissue around this metal had started “healing” and causes him discomfort and vomiting.  This metal/shrapnel will need to be removed when he is strong, if you can help or donate towards his recovery, operation or general care, please email me at anouxmassey@gmail.com
